Hi guys.
I have been hearing all about the DD-WRT firmware for the Linksys routers which basically turn it into a CISCO router in terms of functionality?
I have the Linksys WRT54GS v4 I think (see screenshot below)

If it is indeed a v4, I can flash it??
Which files do I need? I have looked at the official DD-WRT home page, and its just a list of zip files, which ones do I need?
Also, will this firmware affect performance at all? (does it just make things better, or are there any side effects?) thanks in advance
Edit: I also heard that the DD-WRT firmware can help with things like bit-torrent?
I just thought I would check, because I only got the router today, and I heard that all the "new ones" were v5+ which cannot be flashed?
