I'm surprised there's no where to post and talk about making your own custom electronic hardware, and no this has nothing to do with modding. I'm talking about building something from scratch, anything electronic that can be applied to a computer. I really think this forum needs an area like that. I've already seen posters asking about places for this kind of thing. They really need their own area in XS. :)

We have Xtreme Forum Reviews section that is perfectly suitable for such things. But i`ve only seen Hipro`s Maximaizer and few controllers - not much devices for new section

i don't think he's talking about stuff like Hipro's Maximizer but more stuff like questions on electronic schematics/component information

Well I think there`re other forums/websites for this topic

LOL, the point is for them to post here, and not somewhere else Cooper.

This forum is all about OCing, benching, tweaking and modding.
The closest thing to main topic is Vmoding and we do have plenty of that.
I see no reason why we should add separate section for custom electronics - imo it`s not neccesary. As I sad there are plenty other forums which cover custom electronics for many years and already have great database and articles.
Of course that doesn`t mean that custom electronics articles aren`t welcomed :) But they usually are related to one of the components and can be posted in exsiting section.

You're point isn't valid. You can mod your system, using custom made parts. Its modding, but in a different sence. Its making something of your own, and that does have a place in a forum devoted to overclocking and modding.

general hardware, or a location specific to what you have built is meant to modify (ram, cpu, motherboard, etc)...

If someone post something like that, no one would really respond and the thread would die. It wouldn't if you posted cause your a posting god around here, but if I did, it would. Thats my point. There needs to be an area devoted to things like this so the threads don't just die.

People will also go there specifically, who know about this stuff, instead of being spread out all over the forum. Electronic specifically. This means that more knowledge will be focused in a single area, instead of being thinned out so much it doesn't do anyone much good.

He has a point. It would be appropriate to have "custom design" under "hardware"

Why couldnt you just put it under xtreme hardware? No where does it say stuff in there has to be related to computer equipment. Man Judaeus, you've made more threads trying to change the forums than anything else lol.
