p5w DH Sound Question

I have the p5w DH. I have an Audigy 2 ZS. I was wondering if the X-fi cards were worth the upgrade?

Second question. If I want to get Vienna speaker system and stereo system would I be more easily be able to connect to it via x-fi or what's the deal on that? Is there a better way to do it? Any audiophile please advise.

I think your best bet is to find a soundcard with a direct optical out (Chaintech AV-710). I used this one for my HTPC and it worked out great.
