Ever since I switched to my X1900XTX from the 7800GT I've noticed that I have really jerky gameplay in CSS, and have been noticing in FEAR. My CPU is at 2.5 1:1 and my x1900xtx is at 715/810 on water (stock volts). I am using ATITool to overclock. My settings in CSS aren't even on max, and my fps ranges from 80-100. The jerkyness is horrible in the begining but smoothes out if I play for a while. I've defragged my drives, deleted the paging file and remade it, tried running without atitool, but nothing seems to help. My friend also just switched from a 7800GT to a x1900xtx and we both witnessed the jerkyness on his rig after switching. I am using Cat 6.6 HDR+AA Patch
Any ideas?

have you installed AMD's dual core optimizer and processor driver? That can help stuttering in non-SMP games.

yes dual core optimizer program installed as well latest 6.8 should help. I would try the omega drivers as they run quite well on my X1900XTX with 2.5ghz a64.

I've done the dual core patches, and yes, I do have 2G of memory.
I would be willing to try 6.8, but if they are anything like 6.7 I have hugee issues with them artifacting my LCD :S
Edit:
Are there any 6.8 chuck patches out yet? :p
Just found em, going to give them a go

what programs do you have loaded? MBM would make my system stutter sometimes.

I've tested with stock, and my friend is also running stock, I've tried without any other programs (including closing ATItool and ATT) and nothing helped

I'm using a X1900XT with CAT6.7 and no issues.
I know from past experience that when switching from nvidia to ATI or vise versa you are best off either formatting or using something like drivercleaner to remove all the old driver traces. Strange things and bad performance can happen if you don't. For example, when I went from a radeon 7200 to a gforce 3 ti the computer graphics went haywire until I reloaded windows (good old 98SE back then :D)

If color correction is enabled, disable it.

I have formatted since switching, my friend didn't but he did use driver cleaner
My color correction was on (on by default too), what exactly does that do? I remember searching for it but it didn't seem to apply to anything CSS has
