hey i just got a 9800 pro off ebay

i know it requires a good psu. i have a 500 watt but it was cheap, brand name i hadn't heard of, i think it was like 30 or 40 bucks maybe at a local computer shop when i got it a long time ago

anyway, i was wondering if maybe that's why while i was runnin the half life 2 lost cost video stress test, my screen went blank when it got to this point inside the place where you sabotage the rocket launcher thing, and after like 30 seconds the pc finally rebooted after it sat there with the screen blank

is there a program that will like monitor the power or voltage or whatever going to the video card (and everything else for that matter) and output it to a log file that refreshes ever so often so that if it crashes and reboots i can see if that's what caused it?

btw, i had been having problems with my largest hard drive stalling and stuff--like it would hang, dissappear from My Computer, sometimes the computer would just freeze (maybe cuz it was trying to access a page file on that drive??), and there was this clicking noise--the same kind of click i hear at this one point every time I actually shut down & turn off my pc--so i rearranged how i had stuff plugged up inside--like there's two main cables that everything else is daisy chained off, so one of the main ones has (until now) just that one hd plugged to it, and the other has all it's plugs plugged into my other hd's and dvd drive and stuff. and that seems to have fixed the hd problem. but now, i also have the video card running off that strand of cables.
