Looks like the Dell/Aw relationship has borne fruit...the Core2Duo ready to go widescreen notebook with ATI's X1400 GPU for $999 is VERY interesting...considering cheapest ATI mobility x1600 from apple starts at $1,999.

They had an Alienware Core 2 Duo notebook going for $749 for like a day. But then the price jacked up $150:p: .

I am not a fan of Alienware in any sense, but those are freaking nice. Price is far lower than anyone would expect. Be nice to see some reviews of these.

I wouldnt want to be seen with one of those machines, the looks department needs to be fired :stick:
Not impressed with the prices, uk price is usualy 20% off the usa list price not what it should be in theory.

yea thos prices are pretty nice. If i need a notebook anytime soon I'll definatley pick up one of these.

my dad (not computer literate at all) needs a laptop. i might as well tell him to get a top of the line c2d for cheap.

dell taking over alien wear sounds great because they can bring us prices like this BUT its actually that that great IMO, because now all your doing is buying a dell with an alienwear case.

Nah, probably not. They didn't shut down the alienware plants and fire all of the alienware developers and marketers. They just 'bought' them, which means they will be extracting net profit for THIER shareholders. It's still an alienware.
