Hi,

I have EK full cover blocks on my 1900 cards. I used to run just my 1900xtx and that worked fine with the full cover block.

I intalled my 1900xt mastercard last night and used a EK Crossfire full cover block too. I attached a small ram sink on the Crossfire Composition chip on the master card.

When Gaming for about 20 mins I get horrible colour distortion and green lines running down my monitor.

Basically my question is how well does the Crossfire chip need to be cooled?

Regards
Raja

Any metal on the metal contact on the video card will kill it out right, trust me, I know. I'd be very careful when using ramsinks, they have a tendency to move once the double adhesive begins to wear off. I wouldn't use them to be honest with you. As for your color issue check your cat control center go to Ditial Panle Properties then go to Attributes. Make sure that you have Alternate DVI operational mode is checked. If your monitor is 20" or more also check "Reduced DVI frequency on high resolution display. See if that helps any.

Hi,

The problem only manifests after 20 minutes, the ram sink is gled to my block which holds it on the chip, so there are no shorts between card and sink.

I think it's heat related as it only happens when things get warm...
