I´m thinking of changing my HDD setup... but i´m not shure if it´s worth the extra money. (I´m building a new PC from scratch, everything new except Case and maybee HDD). I´m not in any need for more space. Just thought this way there would be fewer drives, and better ones.
My current HDD setup (SATA only):
HDD1 - 74Gb WD Raptor for OS
HDD2 - 200Gb WD
HDD3 - 250Gb WD
HDD4 - 250Gb WD
--------------------
= 774Gb
This is what I´m thinking of:
HDD1 - 74Gb Raptor for OS
HDD2 - 320Gb Seagate Sata2 Perpendicular
HDD3 - 320Gb Seagate Sata2 Perpendicular
--------------------
= 714Gb
Or this setup:
HDD1 - 74Gb Raptor for OS
HDD2 - 640Gb, 2x Seagate 320Gb in Raid
--------------------
= 714Gb
I´m not looking for speed on the Raid configurment, just a thought to have only C: and D: drive showing in windows.
As I said, I don´t need more space and this change would cost me roughtly $30 (after selling my old 250Gb drives).
What do you think? Worth the hassle?
