With my P3 Briefcase :D. First WU uploaded, ~60 points for 18 hours of work :slap:
As soon as I hit 9th place in SoB (should be as soon as my proth tests are completed), I'll switch over the 820 as well. I need to keep ahead of MovieMan in SoB though, for the coming few days. I want to keep my top ten position :p:
See ya soon!

LOL. That reminds me of me. I've chilled out in this regard, but I use to look at a floppy drive and think, "you know I could build a cruncher around that..." :)

I have a 800mhz VIA mobo and cpu w/ 128 ram and just can't bring my self to hook it up as it will do squat to crunch but you never know. I just might have to farm it out. ;)

i have a box of parts in my closet, i started puting them together to see if i had any compatible parts, i ended up with 3 and 1/2 rigs. and no power switch to turn any of them on =\
total power is only 1.3ghz though

No extra PSU's here, I will ask around though. Total 1.3 is a small step anyways.

Itznfb,
bah what do you need a power switch for!! Screwdriver FTW!
Guys, i'll start digging around and see what I can come up with. The sad thing is, i only have dial up here at home, and its a PITA to d/l work with it. (If i could, i'd have another 9ghz online :( )

Why don't you start a tarracta thingy for you guys. A floppy from here, a PSU from there, a case, etc... All helps. May end up making a cruncher (or two) out of that stuff.

Well I need 4 PSU's (1 with 2x4pin) 4 PCI GFX cards, 3 20-40 gig HDs, a few fans oh and a Socket 478 MB! So anyone near Ireland wanting to get rid of things like this for ££££'s? USA shipping would be too much for this stuff as its not exactly top of range stuff!

Ireland? They have electricity in Ireland? :stick:
Seriously, it amazes me how far and wide the team stretches. Not a corner of the globe uncovered.

A few years back I installed the DC app I was running then onto a VIA 733 MHz machine. Its' score ( compared to other machines I had running that app ) was 5. The other machine's were like 160 or so.
The FPU on the VIA processors sucks worse than three dollar street hooker ( or a member of KMABSY )!
In other words, don't even think about it!

I don't care what happens if you overtake me, I only want to stay in the top ten, and preferably sure of that position before you overtake me ;).
EDIT: that isn't going to happen anymore, I'm too late... Time to leave the D820 on tonight again I think, that'll be another night without some good sleep :p:

Somebody then start a separate thread for this, s people can list wha extra stuff they don't need. And whenever someone is building a system, s/he can cave a look there first then PM.
Good if we help each other, not to mension that you would score one with the wife. Next time she starts about "either you clean out this stuff or you will come one day and not find it" speach, you can put your hand on your heart and say that you doing it but rather meticulously.:)
