Hi, Ive heard dongle-less crossfire should be hitting with X1950XTX, unless im wrong....

Will it be possible on current intel chipsets? i.e 975x or Will it only be possible with Ati rd600 motherboards?

Nope .. no dongle-less cross fire for cards faster than the x1600 .. all x1800/x1900 series cards need the dongle. Have to wait for the R600 chips for SLI ish connector.

Sry, thats not right.
You can enable Crossfire up to x1800 Series without mastercard. But you need a ATI RD580 Chipset MoBo with two x16 PCIe lanes.
Not working on Intel Chipset yet, cause of Driver.

You just get the Board with the RD580 Chipset ( for example Asus A8RMVP-DeLuxe ) two x1800GTO Cards, plugin the Slots install the the Cat 6.6 CCC or newish and thats it. The Performance lose without a mastercard is about 3-5%. But nobody say, overclocking is impossible.
Look the web for Details ;)

There's a pic of 2 1950Pros in CF in the news section of this forum. Albeit on a RD600 and an internal "dongle" - more like SLi bridge ;)

Yep and I thought it was 1950GT. But I can't find the site it was off of. So, there is a good chance I'm wrong on the GT part.
