The new OCZ PC2-9000 Titanium Alpha VX2 DFI Special is optimized for our new LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R enthusiast board, and together these two premium components will push your overclocking milestone beyond any other motherboard and memory solution.

As a member of the proprietary Voltage eXtreme family, the PC2-9000 VX2 DFI Special is designed to operate at a high voltage in order to increase the speed while maintaining stability that is usually unobtainable when conventional modules are pushed to run at a higher voltage. At DDR2-1120, the Ti Alpha VX2 supports ultra-low timings of 5-5-5 at 2.4 volts without any adverse affects to stability whatsoever. OCZ and DFI exclusively developed these modules for the extreme enthusiast to give high-end DDR2 based systems that extra performance edge that is demanded by today’s hard core gamers and overclockers.

What are they selling for, $700 for 2GB ?

I'd assume $500. Don't quote me, but their previous flagship Platinum series were that price. I don't see why they would launch these at a more extreme price.

Taking Corsairs new kit into consideration, I don't think OCZ will want to try to match it's price, because it will lose. Since these are DFI specific modules though, I wonder if Oskar had a part in them?

What's an AM2? (that's a joke by the way)

Add voltage to the right chips and this is what you get, slap on a huge pricetag and its XTREME (sarcasm).

The DFI 590 is the first serious ram overclocker we have found that consistenly clocks dimms with high speed and good stability. We were able to test many dimms at speed unheard of on many of the present boards. This is why we are pleased to offer this kit as a DFI special knowing the board has a chance of running the dimms this fast.

I have also tested 9001T on the DFI with awesome results ;)

screens please :)

I hear through the grapevine that these modules hit 1200 with relative ease on that motherboard. I look forward to seeing how it compares on other motherboards though also. It will be hard to sell a memory product designed for a specific board.

between this stuff, and corsairs dominator, ram is really getting pushed lately. but with corsairs dominator rated at cas 4-4-4 at only 10 mhz slower, this stuff better beat it in price, if the cas for this stuff is only 5-5-5...

Tony, is every module tested in a DFI motherboard before shipping? For that price tag, I hope it does.

So how much is this supposed to go for?

The Titanium VX2 PC8000 does DDR2-1200 @ 4-4-4-15 @ 2.5v

Im not sure what DDR2-1200 comes up to in the PC format, but its gotta be higher than PC9000

Nobody knows yet... $450 - $500 is my guess.

DDR Speed * 8, so PC9600. Or raw frequency * 16 (600 * 16). They can't sell modules reliably at 1200 speeds right now, which is why they didn't release a PC2-9600 kit. Maybe in a few months...

Tony, how fast is this ram on the 965 & 975 chipsets?

I like the fact that DFI & OCZ are teaming up to release some good MB/Memory combination for the enthusiast.

The Fact that there is some real world testing going on is encouriaging.

Please keep the Price reasonable, we are mostly working pep's, borrowing money from my wife for 500.00 Ram is not explainable in Marriable terms.

probably similar, just doesnt gurantee the oc, you need a good board to do it on. and thats the case with any memory really.

Nice work OCZ.
