hi guys,
i'm trying to compare the biostar tforce p965 deluxe with both gigabyte ds4 and msi p965 platinum.
i'm looking for an unexpensive motherborad with oc features and a good stability; in the next future i will upgrade my system to rd600.
anyway...my setup is:
mainboard: in progress
cpu: intel e6400 allendale liquidcooled
vga: x1900xt sapphire liquidcooled
ram: teamgroup xtreem 2*1gb micron ddr800
what's the better choice???:help: :bounces:
Teamgroup ram (667: 3-4-4-8/ 2*1GB) and biostar TForce P965 are not working very well together. It's bios related problem and I hope they fix it soon. CAS latency is always 3 in my case :(
FSB max is 375~380MHz.
I ordered Gigabyte DS4 yesterday :D

my teamgroup are ddr2800 4-4-4-10 micron D9...i think different than yours...
put them 2.8v with biostar , Vdimm mod is easy.

well...what's the better choice between:
- biostar tforce p965 deluxe
- msi p965 platinum
- gigabyte ga-p965-ds4
do NOT get the msi as its max fsb is only 333 :slapass:

my first c2d board was ds4, then i changed to dq6 and also biostar 965p deluxe. i can say is between ds4 and biostar, biostar is the clear winner.. anyway i dont want to compare with dq6 bcoz of different prize range :)

@zert
i hope that the msi can only hit 330/340 max fsb bcoz its bios is younger than others.
@irenic
thank you.:toast:
