I'm ready to install my new MP-05 waterblock on my DFI Ultra-D, but I want to make sure I don't do something stupid as this is my first water system. If you have done this matchup before, would you mind telling me in detail how you mounted the block?

I've done some searching here and at dfi-street, but haven't found anything detailed.

took the mounting bracket off completely , the backing has little shoulders on it that go thru the board so it automatically centers the bracket, i filed these down to flush with the board, then screwed in the 6-32 rods put a washer and a nut on and tightened the nut down to the board

if it will help ill watch this thread for a couple of hours

Pages 11, 12, and 13 have the information that you're looking for. Coincidentally, I used an Ultra-D for those photos :D

Great info! Why the filing though? This will be switched to a Conroe system in a few months, and this setup gets handed down to my wife but on air. I don't want to do anything that would prevent a traditional setup in the future.

Thanks for the tips! :toast:

because the "shoulders" came through the front side and tilted the rods this way, no shoulders the rods sit straight
