So I set up a testbed with a bad axe, a e6600, a x600 pci-e 256mb, and a 650 watt fsp power supply. I also have 3 sets of ram to go with it.

And after fiddling around a bit with multiple sets of memory. I found a common loose setting that was primable stable for all 3 sets of memory and proceeded to do some more testing.

I've noticed that which pair of memory is in inserted affects the FSB voltage required to make the overclock stable. (Everything else isolated and prime stable).

Set one will prime at all fsb volts. Set two will only post on the upper two fsb volt settings and fail at one. Set three will only post/prime on the highest.

Anybody else notice this behavior?

Might be useful if you specify your sets of RAM and timings. :)

Yes I found out the same thing, fsb voltage is critical to certain ram ratios (for my p5wdh+ocz anyway).
