I'm not sure what is wrong, but I just built my conroe e6600 tonight. Loaded everything up and got these readings. So is aibooster saying I got an underclock conroe? or is cpu-z the real reading and its actually 2.4 ghz. I'm not exactly sure if I got a defective cpu. Also the temperature reading for probe pc 2 and core temp are very different. I am using air cooling SI-128 thermaright.

EIST and C1E are power saving features in Intel CPUs. They change the frequency of the CPU FSB and the voltage as well to save power and reduce heat. Most people on XS turn these off in the BIOS.
Core Temp is correct!

Ah i see, can you tell me under what setting is it in bios? I haven't had a chance to mess around with it yet, but I'll mess around with bios when I get home today. Is 48 C for motherboard normal on air? Final question sometimes PC probe shows my cpu at 250+ C, like its a fast glitch or something, wasn't sure if that was normal.......
