Ok, its been a while since i've watercooled something.. last thing I watercooled was a naked 3400+. (which was a mess and i'd rather not get into it)

Anyway, I just bought the following stuff. Rig is first one in my sig.

Swiftech Storm Rev1
Swiftech MCP655
10ft of MasterKleer 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD x 3/32"WALL tubing

I have:
Black Ice Xtreme 120
Bayres

I was talking with AFI and we think the BIX120 should be suffiecent enough to cool the e6600.

What do you guys think? I did some reading and everything *looks* fine to me, just kinda worried about the Rad.

I'm hoping this will cool the beast better than my scythe infinity.

It will be enough for sure.

If people are getting good results with air, then a single BIX will have no problem

Ive ssen someone cool a CPU, and (2) 7800GTX's with one BIX and they had "ok" temps

if u have the space, at least get a 120.2. Trust me, U WILL want to upgrade at a later day and u will wonder why it wasn't done this way in the first place.

I don't have a problem buying a bigger Rad, the answer i'm after is a bigger rad going to drop my temps more than the standard BIX120?

thermochill is the BEST you can get and yes it will drop temps more..

It doesn't hurt to have extra performance. Conroe, when the voltage is turned up will get hot. Remember 4 cores are coming and chances are you will upgrade. THis way, at least u'll be ready for it and just pop ur chip in and start playing. No need to redo ur loop by switching out ur rad.

geez.. $102 for a Rad! Don't know if i'm willing to spend that much. The BIP 120.2 was only $39. The Stealth ones are $49.

I do have a BIX120. The question is, how much is a dual 120 or triple 120 really going to help. I can't justify paying over $100 for a stinking rad. The PA160 at $86 is even pushing it.

no... dont get a thermochill if youre not wanting to spend alot...

Go for a swiftech MCR220... better than BIP, but not as good as thermochill

BIGT Stealth is equal to MCR in regards to performance

ok, looks like i'll be ordering the MCR due to the fact its about $10 cheaper.
