Just use a t-line before the pump and forget about the res. It's cheaper and works just as well.

We have been previously impressed with Thermaltake’s attention to detail and high quality products. < ANy where that would say that I wouldn't trust at all.

if you are looking for a good liquid cooling kit, you should consider this product.

You can effectivly ignor ANY thing this site says thats blatent bull.

I have one.. and i hate it. It's just a cheap res. Get a T-line set-up instead.

That reviewer didn't know what he was talking about.
A reservoir is simply an air trap and a fill point, both of which duties he admits the Microres handled well (because it does).

The volume of water a reservoir holds is irrelevant-water in a large res will ultimately reach the same temp as the smaller unit.
Using his logic a 55gal. drum would make an excellent reservoir and I'd like to see him mount that in his case.

IMO its better to have a T-line with a nice fillport  ,
but if you really want a res, the MCRES micro is Nr.1 choice ...

I have the MCRES. Its alright, I dont like how the flow of it is. IT seems it takes alittle while to get the bubbles out of your system. The barb on the top causes bubble to be pushed down to the bottom of the res, because of the piece of acrylic. Causes air to be sucked back into the system. If you have a low flow pump, or an adjustable pump. It should be too bad to bleed your system. I just happened to have an adjustable flow pump. I set it to 2 out of 5 (5 being the fastest).

Being that said, I'd personally stick with a T-line.

At ~$139 USD, the Thermaltake Bigwater 735 kit is an affordably priced liquid cooling system that is relatively easy to install and has solid performance. The kit itself comes complete and holds its own against other liquid cooling kits, and the wide range of accessories that Thermaltake offers allow you to liquid cool just about everything. While this kit may not be for everyone (especially if you have a small case), if you are looking for a good liquid cooling kit, you should consider this product. However, I did have some issues with a couple of the accessories that I couldn’t get to work. I would rate the kit itself a 4.5 out of 5 and its accessories a 3.5 out of 5, for a combined score of 4 out of 5.

And I've got some prime ocean front property in Montana to sell you...

Its incredible how they can give out stupid, misleading stuff like this.

i have the micro res, and its hanging by a paperclip now.

bleeding is done less than 12hours by tilting it a little so that your downward flow forcing said airbubble back to outlet is somewhat diminished...

i have used a Tt aquarius3 in the past, upgraded it now and i can safely say
that my previous non overclocked P4 3.0 temps are a match with my current
overclocked p4 3.2 temps...

Have mine for more than a month and could not be more happy... and I'm cooling a clocked dual core CPU and GPU. And with a single Rad.

You just need the right barbs, cuz MCRES MICRO and a lot of other stuff has pretty standard G1/4 threads ..
BTW in here we say 1/2 cuz its 1/2 inch diameter, you have to say 8mm/10mm just to keep clear :D

some people hate res because of durability issues, bad luck with res, etc etc
but of course here its to each his own, everybody has a freewill to copy said arrangement or too like a res or not...

rallyho is that res supplying 2 pumps ran in parallel? a more panoramic view would be nice...

rallyho
08-31-2006, 08:26 PM
yes, 2 loops with 1 res.
