Well ive dont it fellas, I joined the darkside..Help soon needed

I just left the egg, I was supposed to spend this cash on a watercooling loop, but after reading a few posts here I decided why not get a budget core duo setup..

I ordered a retail 6300
and a giga DS3 mobo

The ram will be gotten from OPB, so Xtreemly powerful to be of no doubt, and the rest of this tower will be transplanted..

I just ordered it today, and prob wont get the ram form Kev till prob begining of next week, but anyway it goes, im definaely happy with the purchase..

A question though, by having 2 less megs of shared lvl2 cache how will this hurt overall performance? If any..

Whats the multi of this proc, and will the giga board boot it str8 up without any bios upgrades?

Im total noob to intel, I had a 300A long ago in a dark time, but since then ive been amd all the way, this is gonna be fun.. :toast:

Difference is minimal and both overclock roughly the same, you got a good bang for buck ratio there, very nice

I would think the 7 multi would be a larger problem than just 2mb cache...

My bad thing is I just jumped the gun here, this was supposed to be my WCing cash but after reading a post here and how well a 6300 and this mobo wdoing I decided this was gona be my new rig..

And now after reading up a bit more I think this might notta been such a wise decision..

If this board doesnt have problems going over 400fsb which alot doo then I should be kewl

Im total noob to intel and ddr2 so hopefully I dont overvolt anything, ill def be running her at stock until I get some more opinions on it..
Xs is here for me to take advantage of the knowledge confined between these 0's and 1's so you better beleive ima have my data str8 before I go off the deep end..

Who said Intel was Darkside? :D I think it is not, remember P2 owned amd, so amd was darkside when it released athlon and duron :)
