Hey fellas I have a BFG 7800gt oc and when I first installed the graphics card the temp on the card was usually about low to high 30c. But now it's running a little hotter, somewhere around low 40's c to 50's c? Can anyone help me out why this is happening? Any info would be great. Thanks.

did you overclock it?
did you install something else generating more heat than before?
is the ambient temp hotter for some reason (sometimes as simple as summer vs. winter)?
did you install something else that restricts airflow?
did you remove anything that helped airflow or cooling?
though really, mid 50s C is nothing to be concerned about, unless you're one of the wacky freakish overclockers that likes uber-low temps (the kind that seems to be more common here than anywhere else ;) )
to cool it better, make sure it gets REALLY good airflow, and if that's not enough, get one of the aftermarket coolers. there's plenty of threads around xtremesystems about gpu coolers, i'm sure one of them involves the 7800gt =)

Those temps are nothing to be concerned about I have an eVGA 6800 GT that is running at 52 idle. (Old one that needed RMA ran high 60's idle). Wish I had your temps!

could also be dust, go to your local office supply store etc and get a can of compressed air, shoot some through the heatsink

Thanks. Nope I haven't oced nothing. I mean I plan on to oc but not the vid card. I mean it could just be cause it's summer and what not and maybe need to clean out the fan. The only thing I installed with a new hsf. Look at my sig. But that about it.
