Well my 7950gx2 and 600w ocz power supply came today. So I just swapped them, and thought life would be good. Well after
some WHITE SMOKE and no power up... I thought I was TOAST. The screws, from the backing plate of my TT Big Typhoon, went through the electrical tape and shorted on the case. Why I don't know... how the gear survived, is beyond me. The standoffs in this case are far to short, and I cant make them any bigger or it wont fit to the I/O shield. Now I added some fiberglass tape and a thin piece of pcp board.

**phew.

The video card is all stock, with no tweaking yet.

I went with this card because I have a crossfire motherboard...and I didnt want to do crossfire. So this will do, until I want quad sli :)

I just have to say that this is an amazing video card.
I dont benchmark after an awkward crash after running 3dmark06 and I wont overclock such a new card for a while.
Even at stock speeds the card delivers amazing gaming performance on both 19" and the little amount of time i got to try a 24" monitor. Better then a single 7900GTX, even though it is of similar size.
Nice benchmarks Mr. Kakarot! Crazy close call too, I would have pannicked if that happened to me. I hope you enjoy the card!

Congrats man, I guessing that's the Gigabyte card?
Did you replace the stock paste with AS5 or is that straight out of the box?

Nice scores!:toast: I can't wait 'till mine gets here.

Straight out of the box... I am not sure how much I believe in replacing the paste... I did all that prep for my asus mobo... and it made no difference.

lol
