I have a few speakers I want to hook up to my computer but have a question. First off, is it even possible to hook up stereo speakers to a computer? If so, what all would I need to do it?

of course there is, thats how mine is set up. now what receiver do you have? for me my receiver just has a normal rca input, so i bought a 1/8 to rca y-adapter.

If your sound card and receiver both have either optical or digital coax ports, run either an optical or dig. coax cable from soundcard to your receiver. If not, above method works as well.

ya ur right, but it all depends on the soundcard. my method is for analog. but if you have a card like the auzentech xplosion then use optical if ur reciever allows it.
