after talking with one of the maint. guys at work, i noticed a 10ft roll of 1/4 ID tygon sitting on the counter. he told me to take it if i need it... but since i needed a larger diameter i asked if i could order some bigger stuff. he said ok, threw me the ordering book and told me to write down what i needed and he wont tell anyone... awesome...

so now i just need to know what to order... they had 4 different types in the book:

ultra-soft 1/2 ID, 5/8 OD
high-flex also 1/2 ID, 5/8 OD
smooth-bore 1/2 ID, 3/4 OD
cant remember the name of the last kind, but it was also 1/2 ID, 3/4 OD

i was thinking about ordering the High-flex just cause its the cheapest of the bunch ($.61/ft) making it less likely to be asked what happened...

dude. that's like. totally cheating! hahaha!

i think the high-flex is probably exactly what we need. it sounds like it's designed to fit into tighter bends without kinking.

high flex sounds right. smooth bore will not make any noticable difference, and i dunno wtf the point of ultra soft is. though high-flex could just be thinner-walled. lol

nah. the high-flex and soft crap are both 1/2 ID and 5/8 OD, if you read that. of course that puts them both at 1/8th wall... the other two are 1/4th wall.

get the 1/2 3/4 stuff, or 7/16 5/8. thin walls means easy kinking.

you mean 1/16th wall is what 1/2id 5/8od is

granted... thinner walls = easy kinking... but is a 1/4 wall really necessary? amost seems that the tubing would be huge, know what im saying...

lol ur thinking 1/8 wall... and 1/8 wall is good

1/4 wall is crazy it would be 1/2ID, 1OD

So basically, you are having somone else order parts for your home PC on the company's dime, and then asking for advice on this illegally gotten item, then bragging about it how cool it is on a public forum?

Congratulations, your a thief!:slap:

And to those of you that have given advice to him, is that how you represent XS? I am sure Fugger would be proud of you all...:slapass:

Sort of silly to risk your job (and possibly someone else's) for some tubing. Unless the maintenance guy ordering the part also happens to be the owner of the business you work for, I wouldn't do it. :stick:

Chicken:p: Aww ... that was just a lucky guess right? I'm pretty sure my feathers aren't showing.

I can assure you that my proud poultry heritage is not influencing my position on the matter. :D
