Hey recently i disabled some windows XP services and when i restart windows it starts up fine, but on the blue screen where it says windows is starting up, it hangs there for about 15 seconds then windows starts, anyone have any idea wich service this would be? thanks

reboot the computer - when you get back to windows right click on my computer go to manage - open up event viewer and check the system log - you should have some error or warnings at the top of the log - double click on one and it should give you a description - find the source of it and re-enable the service -


Basically, you have a program that is running at startup that requires a certain service. When its loading that program its trying to start the service and eventually times out because the service is disabled. I get this a lot from the WIA service.

Thanks for the suggestion, i checked the events and nothing opened up, an error came up, so i figured i should enable it, and when i enabled it it fixed my problem, thanks again buddy very much apreciated!
