Ok I have a 160 GB seagate and currently have it partioned off at about 80GB and 80GB, and I would like to get XP home on another partion just in case I screw something up on the main partion. Just wondering if I should intall it on a little 2BG partion or install it on the other 80GB partion.
Just wondering what the best option is.
Thanks in advace for the help.

Well, it certainly is possible, but the big question would be why?
Are you OC'ing? If so then corrupt data caused by instability will affect any and all open handles to files, not just the boot partition.
Even if this is not the case, then most of your apps(your games included) will not run under the OS they were not installed under.
So whats the point? You would have to re-install all of your apps after a problem or install duplicates and waste space from the start.
If your looking to do testing, use a virtual machine like VMware or MS Virtual PC. Any mistakes on a VM will be easily remedied without affecting the actual machine.

not necesarily true if he makes his 'program files' and 'my documents' be located on another partition and keeps a backup of the registry
