I was expecting a kind of tutorial about soldering when rading the thread title, so what exactly are you talking about zakelwe? :)

Small tip for all of you out there who have Shaky Soldering hands... (Yup, me!)

give your hands a damn good Clap (once will do it, but with some force), just before you solder...

Hey Presto.. much less shaky hands!
Why/How it works, I have no Idea, but the electronics teacher in school taught me one useful thing... that was it.

Alright here's the semi-ghetto forum version, when I come back tonight I'll make a better HTML one with flash animation support.

EDIT: ghetto forum version removed, HTML+Flash version is done :D

2 more to be finished tomorrow, and 2 more is in the planning stage ;) lol this is the biggest guide I've ever wrote, 50+ individually hand edited pics, over 6 hours of work from soldering to html coding, etc :D

Not bad! Nice work here, It would be great if you made a new thread and made this the first post. This is a great guide for beginners and people looking for some pointers.

I'll refine it a bit tonight and put up a new thread.

Very nice

btw it's best not to use IDE cables, it's best to use Floppy cables since they use a single strand of copper wire ;)

lol I don't have floppy cables, wait, what is a floppy drive?? ;)
Yep copper is better when it comes to soldering with computer parts since they have so little resistance, and one can probably pick up a bunch at an used comp store for cheap too.

Making flash sure is fun lol...

Floppy cables or the IDE 40 pins are what I use.

When I finish the 2 sections and 2 other sections in planning, I'll start a thread and maybe get it stickied? :D

Very nice indeed :toast:

There was a guide posted by Shamino as well but it doesn't have pics now, there were some problems with servers or something like that
