i just got an x2 3800 recently and i'm looking for some good ram that works well with it. im looking for a dual channel kit (1gb most likely for the speeds) of something that will do like 250-300mhz

How is this for a suggestion?

Although I don't see why you need a certain FSB speed given that dividers in no way effect performance and that the most important thing for Performance is Latency on AMD

really? i thought having your memory at a higher speed made your system faster and that dividers hurt performance...thanks, thats good to know! :)

I was running 3-2-2-8 w/ 2 x 1gb sticks... I dont think that, that is bad.

eh im not worried about that so much anymore, i just need stability and its just not happening with my corsair xms i have now. i've heard the HZ is amazing with X2's and i need to get my computer stable at reasonable speeds. im now down to 2.5-4-3-6-2T on my corsair xms @ 249mhz and it wont stay stable for more than 2-3 days. when it was one 1T it wouldnt stay more than an hour

Personally I would look at an Infineon Based RAM. Most of them top out around 265 to 270 RAnge. Which in most sticks I have toyed with they will pull CAS 2.5-3-3-6 @ 265 which I think is better then CAS 3 @ 3-4-4-8 running @ 280. It is just a personal preference. One such RAM is the Patriot 3200LL stuff. I used alot of sets over the past few years and each set seemed to scale beter then the one prior. It was usually priced better then alot of the stuff on the market.
