ASUS downloads are always so sloooooooooooow! I wish they would devote a little more resources to customer care. Anyways, thanks for the links Lawrywild.

But this version is sooooooo much more responsive than my old one. Before it took years before it did anything after I pressed a button but now it actually responds instantly to what I click on.. :)

Man, I wish I could still use good ole Asus Probe. It was so much better then Asus Probe II, easy to read and without the bloat. I have to use speedfan for what I should be able to do in Asus Probe II. I use to be able to do it in Probe but that's no longer compatible with current MBs.
:(
Is there a current version of Asus Probe out there?
Edit: Hurray, looks like Asus PC Probe version 2.25.05 (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/ASUS-PC-Probe.shtml) actually works. (for those who are use to the older version).

Pc probe 1 was good (from p4c800 days), as you say, it had so much less bloat. I may try that, thanks for the link

This version of ASUS PC Probe actually monitors negative temperatures correctly. You won't get the annoying alarm and 256 degrees reading that you get in PC Probe II. Definately a keeper:)

Below ~-28C (I think....even loaded it doesn't get that warm) on my P5W DH reads 128C
EDIT: just cranked vcore and at -28C it reads 228C, lol....colder and it reads 128C

With my Swiftech Peltier waterblock, my idle temperature is ~ -3 degrees. So I should restate that the original PC Probe works well for me:toast:

I agree. I loved the old Probe.

They should bring back PC Probe...
is there a way to dynamically adjust the speed of fans using the new version?, my fans stay a t a constant speed, and I cant seem to get speedfan to work.

That Probe II thing that opens up takes forever. Both AI and Probe II are bloated POS.

I just compared the file dates inside of 301 and 302. 302 is a month newer.

I don't see 302 there
and how's that possible? A month newer would be 16th September 2006... dude we haven't even hit September yet :slap:
