Nvidia Chipset has had performance of leading heroes all the time on AMD
platform, this time after AMD launch the AM2 socket CPU, Nvidia also
introduce the relevant chipset at once too.
The most high end chipset is nF590 SLI that support EPP technology and
dual PCI-E X16 SLI that are most powerful chipset in AMD platform nowadays.

Begin from K8 754 nF3, until K8 939 nF4 later on the LANParty series are
always the pride of DFI.
DFI LANParty series are overclocking pioneer among many mobo makers.

The user already can purchase the high-end AM2 product "LANParty UT NF590
SLI-M2R " on the famous e-tailer a few days ago , I believe it will not
disappoint with DFI overclocking fans.

To be frank ...This pattern of packing is used for a very long time.

Though own competitiveness of the products is strong, but change a new
style or more beautiful pattern may contribute to products marketing

Product accessory include LANParty sticks, simple and easy installation guide,
Audio module, IO share panel
Cables of Floppy/IDE/SATA, Device Driver CDROM and complete User manual

One PCI-E X1 and three legacy PCI slots

Check right of the mobo, the digital PWM design that take ahead PC industrial.

This kind of design mostly appeared in Sever grade system in the past that
provide steady power no matter overclocking or not all the time.

There are extra SIL 3132 chips in the middle, offer two SATAII devices, the
whole mobo SATAII devices are up to eight

DDRII 1005 CL3 3-3-4 achieve?!

http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/9749/m2r100033ge2.jpg

DFI NF590 SLI-M2R have advantage of SLI Ready memory, large-scale copper
cooler, 5 phase digital PWM , 8 SATAII and the Japan made capacitor ,
Does DFI still be the winner in the overclocking campaign through above mention advantage feature?
(Let us check it on next BIOS and overclocking benchmark review.)

It's a Karajan module holder. Acts like a spacer.

Very, very nice layout. I really like the SATA ports on the edge. The cooper heatsinks also look nice. What difference do you think the digital PWm will make?

Most likely a near perfect board, but I'm still going for ASUS Crosshair, I need something that will look just a little but pretty, and I'm tired of black with yellow and orange.. None the less, I like the 90 degree angled sata ports, it's a great idea, as you are now able to hide the cables completly with an angled cabel :)

I like the way DFI is going with their products, I see that the evercool like Chipset cooler is making it onto all their boards. They are even paying attention to cable management by excellent layout.

I've heard more about digital PWM's lately, what is it that they do?

Ya, difinately a great addition. I like it on my Expert. I think they took out the leds tho. The cpu cooler is monsterous. My Big Typhoon is borderline monsterous to me already.

thats not the evercool, its the same company that makes all thier other hsf's, but it is copper, so we should see an improvement there...

as for digital pwm, its simply that, digital PWM. Whether its better or not remains to be seen.

Digital PWM is cheaper to manufacture, consumes less power and floorspace, and supposely provides more stable voltages.

BTW the board's layout is good, with one exceptions, which is case fan placement.

highly anticipated??? i don't know about that to be honest :nono: anyone with a current high-end 939/am2 setup should be happy enough but buying new board/cpu's now you'd be crazy not to go intel.

i do like the digital PWM, especially great for us on phase ....cept coldbug still remains.....AMD please remove memory controller from the chip :)

Smoken Joe

Agred that looks like nearly the ideal for mothrboard layout impressive if it works as good as it looks. Tempting even with all the Intel hype and a good AMD MB.

AMD please remove memory controller from the chip :)
That is where the performance comes from, if C2D had an onboard memory controller god knows how it might performs.

It is for AMD fans (don't look at the sig, I didn't pick this one), but don't worry DFI will launch LP nf590 for Conroe also...

SmartGuardian seem show lower voltage than BIOS.
It is quite quiet due to use large-scale copper cooler and control default
rotates speed around 2500 RPM .
Nvidia chipset is well know with high temperature but the actual temperature
still can be control under 55 degrees
DFI implement smart fan control , the fan speed can be adjust between 0 to
6500 RPM

Prove to be DFI LANParty series overclocking blood lineage , It 's different
grade with other AM2 mobo that are used before .
Except DDRII voltage up to 3V can use, The DRAM overclocking can be
easy be achieve with more tight timing and more lower voltage.

To be continue ... 3D performance and EPP technology
