Hi all,

I just got my new setup: -

Asus P5W DH Deluxe

Intel Core 2 DUO E6700 Engineering Sample

Corsair 6400C4 (DDR800 – 4,4,4,12)

I have working with the system for just over a day now and have only managed to get the system to be prime stable at 3GHz (10x 300). Anything above that and the system is unstable in Windows. If I try to go above 333FSB then my system simply wont boot. All this is at v-core voltage 1.3500.

I am happy with performance but feel there is so much more I just cant seem to access it. (Current numbers: - 16sec Super Pi 1m - 48k 3DMARK01SE).

I’m new to the Intel scene so any BIOS tips would be great. (I have read all the help guides and non seem to of helped).

Also what is the highest I can go with the v-core for 24x7 use. My cooler is a Ninja Plus, (currently set to 1.3500v)?

Any comments or recommendations would be great.

Cheers.

First off what are your bios setting?

Have you disabled hyperpath 3 & desabled EIST? There the main 2 settings for FSB limitation on the P5W...

Have you raised the vMCH at all, as from what i've read its key to getting this mobo stable! Try 1.55V or if unsuccessful try 1.65V....

The voltage you can use depends on the temps your getting with your cpu!!! you want to keep it below 60 degrees under load! You should be safe with 1.45V 24/7 with that cooler though!

You might also try Vmch on "auto" , works perfectly for me :)

but damn I've tried a lot of settings before getting stable at dual prime with that mobo
