p5b dx vs ds3 ???

Hey, could anyone plz compare the ds3 to the p5b dx for me plz? Most specifically the oc potential on both with an e6300 and 2gb of team group xtreem ddr667 3-3-3-8 modules plz ??? And also, with an e6600 + best ram out there ???

I hear ds3 is good with e63/400 but not with 6600+, is it the same with the p5b dx?

they will both do fine for you. I personally like both boards, though you will need better northbridge cooling on the DS3.

Which one you pick depends on the features you need and how long you plan to keep it. Because of the excessive heat, I can't recommend the DS3 for extreme long term overclocking, say 2 years or more... but for less then that it should be fine.

nice review. I do like the board. I just need a better CPU, mine craps out at 3.2-3.3. Glad I didn't spend the money on an E6600 or E6700. It allows me to buy another E6400 and hopefully get a better luck of the draw and sell the one I've got, though I'll wait until more week numbers come out.

It's come clear to me more then ever now with the high overclockability of these boards: the E6400 is all one needs.
