this cooler has not been *as advertised* fore me, at least from the reviews ive read. the idle temp does match, it stay low at like 44 or whatever, but with load, even at stock, it gets into the mid 70s on 100% fanspeed, which is very worrisome since the review didnt get that high on dynamic, especially since i have very good airflow for the cooler's exhaust, intake fan on the bottom of the case and exhaust on the top, so it basically creates a stream to get rid of all the hot air. i think it could be a bad mount of the cooler, so im trying to see how i could possibly improve it. i'm thinking about using the stock ati retention plate, as that seems to have a much better grip than the nylon washers and screws of the x2. so before i do anything, has anyone tried this with any success?

No i have not... but i tried the accellero x2 just with overdrive on 2 1900 in c/f and the stock cooler worked better than the accellero x2 .So i went to water and my temps are in the 45c to 50c range. The x1900 just run to hot but they do ferform well.

well thanks for the responses, lol. i didnt bother putting the backplate on, but tightened the screws as much as i physically could. now load is 71c in a warm room, much more acceptablel, figure in the winter itll be in the high 60s.
