Second vote for the ASUS P5B Deluxe if you're running an Allendale :)

I can do 500FSB on Gigabyte DS3 without changing voltages.
Just need to add better NB cooling.
Using latest F4E bios, everything seems fine.
Recomended board.
Forget about Gigacrap and their scum bios-es.
Hmm? Can you expand more on this issue, Please?

My vote goes to gigabyte, mines limited to 400FSB, max in windows is 413FSB, hopefully gigabyte will release a bios to increase my FSB limit, other then that i'd get the DS3/DS4, the price is right :D

I've got both the DS3 and the P5B deluxe and they are both fine. The DS3 runs quite a bit warmer then the P5B I noticed, but other then that, you'll overclock fine with either one if you know what you are doing.
Well, DS3 has some problems, mostly with RAM but for the price it is the best board (maybe Biostar Tforce can compete but not so many results yet). P5B DL is much more expensive
Here are a few problems:
* Some modules don't oc at all or very poor oc on this board
* you can't even post with some modules
* Very hard to get max cpu multi X fsb > 500 1:1
* 4MB retail conroes don't work very good

I have an Asus P5B-D and the OCZ Platinum XTC sticks and I would be wary of pairing them together. There seems to be a lot of issues with this particular ram and motherboard combo :(

The DS3 and P5B Deluxe are both very good boards. DS3 is a nice cheap board, but its loaded with memory problems. P5B Deluxe is a lot pricier than the DS3. Dont know if its picky about the RAM you chose though.

I would go with the P5B Deluxe if you're not looking to spend over $200. If you want Crossfire support and a little better chipset then i would go with the Asus P5W DH or evne the new Asus P5WDG2-WS Pro which is loaded with features and should be rock solid.

this ram runs great with both boards, heck with just about every board out there.

I've had no memory problems, you just have to make sure the ram you buy can handle posting at a lower voltage... if it can, there are no memory problems. My one reservation with the DS3 is that it runs quite hot, which may shorten it's lifespan, it's too early to tell (if you plan on owning the board for years, if you are upgrading in 6 months go for it)
