View Full Version : Possible to run SLI on P5B Deluxe?

So, from what I have read, the P5B Dlx clocks well. And I have read that on the P5W DH Dlx it is possible to get SLI working and work well.

But is it possible to run SLI on the P5B Dlx?

I did SLI on my Gigabyte DS4 board but by using two 6800GS, I can hardly get any performance increase (i.e. 3dmark03 -> 13xxx to 14xxx :eek:)

The slot is electrically 4x. You can't change that :p:

you'll have to run sli at 16 & 4x no way to change that 4x pci-e lane

i have q question ...
i want buy 2 7300gt ddr3(best ocers) to put in sli on a gigabyte ds4...
but I have doubt on sli in gigabyte... sli in gigabyte compensates?

err what are you asking.....

since the second slot is only able to do 4x its not worth doing sli in the p5b dlx. your not going to see the increase if you had a mobo with 8x on both slots for sli.

its 8x then 4x when 2 cards are used. yes you still can but its not going to be as good as say using a single card that would cost the same as the 2 slower ones.

Sorry about the dig .

But i'm thinking about selling my 7600gt and buy 2*7300gt ddr3 to put on sli,
will i have any performance increaseis since the second slot is 4x.

I try SLI on P5B Dlx and GB DQ6. Work's with 85.96 mod, but only 16/4 and this is not good performance for benching.
