X2 4800+ impossible to get, i take a X2 4600+?

more 2 weeks now i wait my X2 4800+ ( s939) and i learn now the shop have take the my command have many difficult to have it.. ( they have command 40 pieces of X2 4800+ to their distibutor and normally it should be here the last week, and now it seems the distributor push the date of recept really later, if they can have again this model...)

So looking on some shop around my Country, i m fall on one have again some X2 4600+,.. the clock are same, the multi too, but they have only 2x512K L2..

Is the performance decrease is big?

I don't think they ship here... but i can try contact them..Who know..
I don' t pay byCredit card, but in general i do a direct transfer, account by account..

Anyway i have find too a shop in germany can ship some X2 3800+ tested and valided in OC at 3Ghz with 1.4V-1.45V max... can be a good idea for price.. but.: - i like high multiplicator on CPU ( x12 minimum) for be sure the divider don't give me problem with my DDR kits..


Is the X2 4600+ are good overcloker, with a average chip under water .. what is the average clock?

It's pretty old news that AMD no longer delivers the X2 4800 or any other X2's with 1MB L2.

Hunt around and you might find a dealer somewhere that still have a few 4800 in stock.

I hunt,.. in real i have a command in wait since some weeks (4800+).. friday i see the command is allways ordered, but they have too put a big red text saying " Now they don't take order for the 4800+"... I will contact them monday afternoon, and hope i m one of lucky guys have his order in way..
