Well I'm sure most people are aware by now of the problems with these cards. It seems every graphics related forum on the net has a host of users reporting problems with them.
So far only eVGA has owned up to the problem and offered a solution.
But reports state the same problems are occuring on all brands of card.
The way to find if your card is faulty is to run the 3DMark06 Deep Freeze test. (available in the Demo version) This apparently will always show the fault if your card is indeed faulty. Also Oblivion is very likely to show the symptoms.
I thought it might be interesting to here other peoples experiences...
So here is mine:
Inno3D 7900GTX - 2 cards faulty so far :(
Glitches/freezing in "Deep Freeze" then black/flickering desktop afterwards (unrecoverable - requires reboot)
Random glitches/flickering screen in Prey and Oblivion.
This has got worse over time, i.e. both cards initially ran Deep Freeze fine - the problems developed after a few days use !
Doubt i'll try another... will get a 7950GX2 or X1900XTX instead ;)
