I buy my Asus P5B simple (no Dlx Wifi/ap) today , Very Impressive :woot:

I think that my 5400ul limits me (only 2.1v), with the vmod vddr, I hope to go up even higher :toast:

Franck currently work on the P5B deluxe, it should be available very soon, it should be compatible for the P5B also, if not one will speak to him about it :toast:

the pcb is quite different, the vmod vddr is a special on this motherboard, that doesn't function very well at home

Moreover the P5B is only one 3 phases instead of one 8 phases on the P5B deluxe

But that doesn't seem to enormously change thing, I think arrived at the max Fsb from my 6700 (it was 510 on the P5B dlx)

I would test one 6400 step 4 and the next week one 6300 step 6 :)

Does BIOS 0309 on the P5B [ non- dlx ] still limit the Vcore Dim voltage to 2.1v ??

Also, what is the max. MCH voltage with 0309 ?

Probably showing how high the FSB goes but you have to understand there is more then just getting high CPU frequency. I'll take mid 3Ghz and 900mhz-1000Mhz RAM frequency on a cheap board (which the P5B non-deluxe is).

I test Fsb max in Air at the moment :)

the pll of the P5B (not dlx) is the 9LPR5552, Franck (clock gen) works above currently, it will be available soon (like that of the P5B deluxe) :)

FSB on that board is just enormous... but on LOW multi! Are you kidding? You possess E6700, one of the Intels flagship units. Please try it on x9/x8/x7 multi :cool: In Poland we have many minor quibles with that board, but the biggest problem is... low FSB :D
