Can you run SLI if the cards are the same series (7800GTX); one from evga, the other being XFX? They don't have to be from the same Mfg do they?

They do not have to be from the same manufacturer. However, this was only incorporated from the forceware driver version 80.xx onwards.
We're on forceware 91.37 now or something like that.

No problem running similar spec cards from two different companies... I'm running one MSI 7900GT and one Asus 7900GT in SLI...
