Near Perfect!!
anyone know how to mod the vdimm?? thx

Perfect !!!!
it is an AM2 socket on an old chipset
IMHO if u want AM2 get it on its own chipset look for chipset 570 or even 550

andre X_X, well, i see. by the way nice overclocking results, congrats :). but i think chipset cooling is not so serious problem... tell me please what other DFI mobo is there (on 550/570 nvidia chipset)?

It's a darn good board... that's all!
If you're going for SLI config, you can't mount the Extreme spirit II.
http://lp.pcmoddingmy.com/albums/userpics/10001/normal_vcre_UltraIIM2_1.jpg
Grab an Evercool VC-RE or just slap a stock DFI LP nF4 chipset heatsink.
I had my board hooked up with VC-RE and chip temp dropped to 47C from 60C!
I have yet to see any other AM2 boards that does over 400HTT at stock Vchip.
Cheers~

I am using the Infinity UltraII-M2 I would say I prefer the OLDER PROVEN chipset over the newer yet to be 100% proven 500 series. Not to mention a very overclockable board for sub $100. What more could one want. It will allow you to get your foot in the door with an AM2, learn the ins and outs of the way the DDR2 is working with it and then jump on the LP series when it releases.
The Vantec solid Copper fits perfect, with a slight mod (you have to clearance it to fit by a cap) and I am sure SLI will work with it in place.

nn_step, and with cf supporting?
CF on SLI board? It's not totally impossible...
You just need a modded ATI graphics driver to run CF on SLI board... provided if you can find one or find someone to mod the driver for you.

pcmoddingmy, modding drivers is the only that need to run board with CF? very nice.

Yes... I would believe it so.
If you can run SLI on CF board, it should be possible to run CF on a SLI board.
The hardware is there... you just need the right software.
However, the red and green guys are finding different ways to trick the drivers not to allow CF/SLI on other boards. So everytime you update your drivers, you have to disable the "check" within the drivers.

Tests was done with the crappy stock cooler and stock chipset & HTT voltages. CPU was watercooled by Corsair Nautilus500 though...Need better cooling to go higher ;)

Everyone want to believe that it was done on the new NF590 SLI-M2R... but it was infact done on the UltraII-M2 board.
This just shows what you can expect from the upcoming LP NF590 board. :woot:

Try CPU multi x4 and HTT x2. My early overclocking also halted me at 410HTT with x7.

thx pcmod, but i already try that.. Multi 4x htt2x, it resets to 4x200... adding chipset voltage or ldt voltage not helping though...
i have question for you, I try 9x350 with HTT 3x and it always reset to fsb200... it works at HTT 2x but the bus only at 700mhz... any idea?? i think 3x350 is capable by NF4 chipset....

andre: Hmm... looks like something might be limiting you or maybe it's the board.
I guess 3x350 should be ok to boot and I only had to drop to 2x when going above 400HTT. Weird...
Btw, mine is a revision A03. How about your's?
pcmoddingmy

yes, but when will it upcome?
It will retail two weeks from today...
In fact, the board is fully ready and DFI told me that they are "fine-tuning the BIOS coz they hope it to be the top notch OC mobo."
So expect the reviews to popup within these two weeks ;)

pcmoddingmy could u please explain why it dosnt come with a backing plate i must be blind i didnt see it in the review..thanks.
Here's your explaination: A closer look at the AM2 retention bracket explains the missing back plate we mentioned earlier. Instead of using screws to secure the AM2 retention bracket onto the motherboard, DFI uses push-pins (Intel s478 style) to lock the bracket to the board. Although it does the job well, we found the bracket to be a little bit loose without a CPU HSF. However, the bracket retains very well upon installing a CPU HSF.
I've updated that into the review... :)
My goal for my new setup was to get into the 2.8-3.0 range and a SuperPI time under 30s. Sadly i was only able to hit 2.7 and a SuperPI of 31.406s after spending the whole weekend messing around with my new setup. You can ignore the Cpu Degree that was running any encode in the background using 100% of cpu usually is at low 40s, also notice Smart Guardian says CPU volts at 1.63 and is not 1.3 like CPUZ says. I'll take some BIOS pic's to see if you guys can notice anything wrong Later today. Reason i have Ram at those timings is cause i went to the Forum in Xtreme BW and saw a few people posting these timings and getting great OC results. I wouldn't mind kicking up the volts a little more to get the better Results.
