I went to reseat my vf900 on my 7900gt to see if i could get better temp, and when i restarted my comp there were all these lines down the screen that didnt go away. i cant boot to windows cause the screen just goes blank after the windows load screen. what could be wrong? my other specs ar: intel e6600, 2gb corsair XMS2, OCZ powerstream 600w. i tried cleaning off the connectors and reseating the cooler again, but no luck. i also know i plugged in the external power connector so it's not power. please help

Are you sure you didn't crack or damage the core when you reseated the cooler ? I would take the cooler off and have really good look at it. Also did you put new thermal paste on when you reseated the cooler. You might have a heat problem. If the problem doesn't go away i would put the stock cooler back on and RMA the card, depending on the brand. Though if you damaged the core in anyway you have voided the warrantee and will have to buy a new card.

I also just installed a VF900 and it was a little scary because the sink doesn't have any stops and actually rests on the core. So you need to be DAMN careful when you put that sink on and tighten the screws down equally a bit at a time!

But I had no problems. Sorry to hear that...
