for £83 amd are giving me the golden chip i waited for :toast:
WHOA!
Is that a waterchiller? For a B1 stepping and the associated coldbug, nice temp control!!
Any benching done yet? :D
Nice!

custom single stage
coldbug like crazy when idle but as long as it's loaded it seems happy so far - not like my opty 148 which just gets crazy period.
i'm thinking rebadged fx-57's perhaps for only 1.5v so far ...real nice :)
i got the chip for a htpc coz i heard they were clocking to 3ghz stock volts but figured i should put it under the cold and see how it goes....phase has been sitting there for awhile coz i got sick of coldbug......now i need another chip for the htpc lol

from what i've seen of other peoples they will do 3ghz @ stock volts on air...same stepping.
stepping is kab1e 0626fpmw
i've got his brother coming tomorrow so i will see what stepping he has and whether he is as strong.

That higher multi is a godsend, ss per loc.o's advice in the opty thread i'm going to try thr ricky tweak to see if i can get above 330fsb with my 146.

that tweak helped my 148 somewhat ....that and putting the ihs back on.
under a stock vapo it was ok but after NL11F mod & 402 regas it was too cold for it and it bugged like mad whether idle or load over 295-300htt
this chip seems to be more bug friendly.
very nice chip you have there...got to love them cheap gems now. i also just saw the thread on you SS...nice little setup you have there and it looks like you are getting the CPUs you need to push it now ;)
keep it up mate.

a little update
time is a bit slow because of the ballistix ....i'll throw my redlines in there later and give it some more volts too.

mmmm maybe :D
looks sweet for this price. maybe there will be few chips without coldbug and we see 4 gig on a non-fx in the end :)
but for single stage this is truely great clock. some benches would be nice ;)
