Hi guys, a friend of mine that I play BF2 with is having some pc trouble, I'am stumped, thus I'am posting for him.
He bought 2 other M32NSLI mobos that didn't work, so now he's on the Crosshair motherboard w/ 4000+ AM2 Dualcore.
The board doesn't post at all. This is his 3rd Newegg RMA part in the past 2 weeks. If you can help it would be appreciated.
I told him to do the usual, clear cmos, disconnect everything except CPU,Mobo,PSU,Vid card & Ram. He tried one single stick of his OCZ DDR2, still nothing. Is their any certain way to get these crosshair mobos up and running ?
Thanks in advance,
- ReT

Did he try a different PSU?

This PSU is brand new OCZ GameExtreme 700watts. Thx for quick reply btw. He gets a code on the LCD Motherboard diagnostic device "Cpu Int"

well look up that code in the manual. that should tell you the problem or at least lead you in the right direction. does it show on the indicator or anywhere else what it is posting while it's going through the process? if so you could watch and see what component it's hanging on.

He has just the basics, Video,Mobo,Cpu,PSU, Monitor. It's the same everytime, no post. He tried his old PCI-Express PSU as well, and another videocard.

Yeah, it boots with that on, I'm sorry I need to re-phrase myself. It doesn't POST to BIOS at all.

@noktekniq: what i said was directed at ReTiCuLeX
@ReTiCuLeX: well then try swapping out the cpu if that's an option. also you might want to check the cables to the mobo(the atx(24-pin) and the atx12v(8-pin))) he might not have the full 8 or 24 pins in either of those (i don't know what his psu has for connectors) and if that's the case that could certainly cause this problem(been in that situation before)

The switch is pushed in, without it pushed in, it won't boot at all. I'm guessing bad cpu at this point??

The switch is pushed in bro.
ok the siwtch si not suppose to be pushed in. when pushed in it will ave blue lights on the board. the thing is to turn off the blue lights by pushing the switch so it pops out. and then press the power button. but in any case you say when u press the pwoer button the ffans turn on. i don't think taht's the prob. you can try but i dont' think ur understanding what i'm trying to point out

what did the manual said for your error code?
Aftermath

I bet is that ram OCZ my Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe didn't post at all so I had to return the ram and get Corsair since it clearly states Corasair XMS2 ready out side the box I sticked the Corsair back in the mobo walla it post it.
Asus new boards are pretty picky on ram wise it will boot with no poblems with Corsair or Kingston.
Hey try using one stick of OCZ if he gets post is the ram might need to set the volatage to 2.7 or what ever that ram needs make sure you know what volts the ram needs. If doesnt boot try using some cheap DDR 2 ram just enough to post to change the volt that OCZ memory needs.
Might be the CPU but is rarely known CPU DOA's.

I dont have to read all the posts. So this might be a double post. Sorry
I think I might have a solution.
Is the motherboad grounding out?
As in. Is there a screw or something that might be in contact with the back of the motherboard.
