So I'm going back to school soon and I plan on buying a new HDD to store my large collection of music, photos and movies. I'll probably buy a 320 gig drive but I want room to expand if necessary. I could purchase the Linksys Wireless HDD case, but I'm thinking it would be more XS style to use an old PC to act as a little media server. At my disposal is an old PIII 667 with a shameful 64 MB of RAM and 100W PSU.
So, is it worth my while to install DSL or something and use the PC to house my HD?
What if I pick up some PC100? I've read that it can take up to 2x256MB bumping it to 512MB.:stick:
