I have corsair xms 1024 twin c2p2 ram with an ASROCK Dual Sata II. I am about to upgrade to a AMD 4600, so I upgraded the BIOS to version 2.2. I ran A64 tweaker and CPUZ and found that my RAM is only running at 166mhz. I reflashed to 1.9 and still the same thing. I manually set the mem timings to the recommended 2.5-3-3-6 2T, tried 1T, etc., but whenever I set the RAM manually to 200mhz the computer will post, but will not go past that. I get no windows boot screen at all, just a blank screen. I tried using A64 tweaker within windows to change the setting to 200mhz, and it blue screened. Dual channel seems to be working fine, but I am at a loss as to why my RAM won't run at its rated speed. Any ideas?

you haven't said what the actual speed you are trying to run your RAM

what is the FSB?

OCWBeta2 was the best bios IKHO

I was just trying to get my RAM to run at stock speed of 200mhz.

Try 1 stick at-a-time....

Twice now my Dualie has eaten a stick of memory and I was getting the same thing as you. Hope yours are OK....

Man if this isn't weird. I tried your suggestion and ran them one at a time with manual timings at 200mhz with voltage set to auto (maybe it should be on high?) in slot 1 and then 2. It booted up fine both times at 200mhz in single channel. I put them both back into slots 1 and 2, and now it boots fine in dual channel at 200mhz. Go figure this one out? At least it is working now at 200mhz (knock on wood).
