When running avg free, It does its running tasks check and changes 4 files. It changes kernel32.dll, user32.dll, shell32.dll, and ntoskrnl.exe. Looking around on the internet, I found that kernel32.exe and shell32.exe are viruses. Their dll versions seem to be ok. AVG just changes them and they never go away. Are they really viruses? Should I manually delete them? If they are ok then why does avg keep changing them?
If so, then is there a better free virus scan program then avg? Or is there something that will check running processes for viruses and remove them?
