Well, basically, I noobed out and removed both things from the Big Typhoon backplate foam. Now i need to RMA the mobo that it is on, AND i need to mount it on the new mobo. Any suggestions for removal?

a hair dryer would get the whole thing off, but getting it on the new board could be tricky but having installed one, you dont really need it to be glued to the board, if its just screwed there it should work just like a new.

so just run a hot hair dryer on the backplate for a while, then pry it off?
