Hi all! :)

Full of pleasant anticipation i installed a set of new OCZ PC4800 (DDR600, 2x512Mb) Ram-Modules on my Abit AN8-Ultra today. But ... nothing worked. :(
I was'nt able to run the modules at their specs. (300Mhz@2,5-4-4-10). Even at 100Mhz and slowest timings my system froze during startup.
Later i found several reports about problems with this mainboard/ram-config in german forums - but not a single solution. A kind guy recommended a Modbios by tictac, which may solve this problem. No sooner said than done! But: i've found two versions:

- TicTac AN8 BIOS 20 tRef 15,6ms, and
- TicTac AN8 BIOS 20 tRef 7,8ms

... and i've no idea which one i should try.

Does anyone has some experiences with those ModBIOS's or with my problem as a whole?

A response would be appreciated! :)

Greetings from germany,
Cambridge

the rest of my system: AMD A64 X2 3800 Toledo, CreativeX-Fi, Gf6600Gt.
