Got me a router... tis a cheap n cheerful Mentor thing, but compared to Fliptone's expensive one it's ace... lot of easy to setup features for DMZ and UDP / TCP ports etc...

Only problem is it seems to go to sleep after 24hrs or summat. There is no sleep mode builtin to the router (and why the hell would there be! Obvious reasons say not) but basically, every morning I have to pull the power and reboot it as all machines lose connectivity. Lease times are set to forever. TimeOuts are set to the highest possible. The LAN is all on DHCP, works fine most of the time, dishes out IPs no probs but sometimes doesn't update the machine-name table tied into the IP Address list...

Internet side of it the IP doesn't change much...

Everything about it is great other than this one small problem, and every morning I am greeted by a load of folders beggin for work units... for now I'm running 2 instances on each rig to keep em going til I get there each mornin to pull the plug etc...

(Oh aye, and 24/7 gamevoice server runs at marci.over-clock.co.uk:59110 ...could be quite handy if any of you guys fancy havin a chat with us UK guys rather than by MSN / E-Mail whatever...)
