I ordered a new bios chip from Asus.

I ordered a new bios from Asus this Friday for my P5W DH Deluxe but they didn't ask me what version of bios I wanted...

Are they going to send a blank bios chip? I did told the support assistant that I needed new bios for the P5W DH Deluxe with Core 2 Duo support but the second assistant that takes all your details didn't ask me what version of bios I want it. Hope it comes with the 0801 at least.....:confused:

They will probably send you 701 or the official 1101.

i ordered a bios chip also. As long as they know what MB you have they will know what Bios chip to send to you. Besides they more then likely only had numerous orders for one MB: P5W DH Deluxe so it's no biggie.

No, ground shipping is free and also the chip if you want 1 day shipping is $20 bucks, But you got to specify that you can't boot at all or have another LGA 775 chip to boot from, you need a bios version on that chip that supports Core 2 Duo support.

Got my bios chip from ASUS today version 0801 nice everything boot up fine I flashed it to 1001 wow everything boots up faster, really nice now finally using my E6600 everything works flawlessly DH remote control, and AP Wireless.:woot:

I got my P5W DH last night from NewEgg. The BIOS chip said 701 but it had 801 on it. :) I then quickly flashed to 1101. The board boots pretty quick -I'm lovin' it so far. I get to OC her tonight.

OCUK in the Uk gave out the detials of whom exactly to speak too as the bord came with wrong bios laoded!!!

Oh and the server for it died too is what i heard!!

Asus have gone down in my books!!
