Hi guys,

Just wondering if this RAM is compaitable (sp) with a DS3/DS4?

GEIL PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Ultra Dual Channel Kit:

I understand that they've been tested on 975 chipsets, just curious if anyone here has this memory on a 965 chipset. If anyone here has these how are they at clocking? i cant seem to find a review.

Thanks for your replies,
c_d

GEIL not G.Skill.

I've never seen these before, look forward to seeing results though.

I have found a review of the Modules at cdrinfo.

Dont seem to be too bad - they ran it @ FSB 450 with 4-4-4-12. No idea how much VDimm though.

But Geil page says up tp 2.3 VDimm. Might those be Mircons ? :D

Hi....i got the Geil pc6400 + Ds4....so far so good but am limited for cooling as i only got a zalman 9500 on my E6600 B2 and it's starting to get a bit toasty..... i have been able to take it to 1025mhz - 410fsb @ 3.7ghz 1.54vcore super pi just under 14s but like i said only got a zalman so no prime for me as of yet.

luckily i tried a pair of these before buying. i'm not very experienced with DDR2 yet, but IMO they were pretty bad clockers.
even at ddr880 i couldn't get them stable and they failed memtest

I got two of these kits today...
the first one i tried
could pass SnM memory torture test & 3DMark05 @ 950 4-4-4-12 2.2v on a DS4
i'll try them on a 975x board this week
for further testing

nice buy for 160$ imho
ideal for 4x1gb setups
