I would like to know if anybody out there got the

GEIL PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Ultra Dual Channel Kit GX22GB6400UDC with orange colored heat spreaders.

Which mem ICs might be on those ones ? Elpida or maybe Micron ?

thx in advance for your input.

Hello and thanks for the reply.

Those are PC2-8500 anyhow- and i bet they dont have the same ICs as the PC2-6400.

Did you just see them on the OcUK site? Me too, if they are half decent they look bloody good for the money. I think they are new, never seen those ones before in the UK.

I have already ordered a kit from a german mail order.
(I am from germany)

And i will have to wait another week for my Allendale E6400 to arrive so i wont be able to test them immediately.

So i (like many others) was asking myself if i have made the right choice or if i had better bought some G.Skill 2GBHZ with Micron D9.

I have found a review of the Modules at cdrinfo.

Dont seem to be too bad - they ran it @ FSB 450 with 4-4-4-12. No idea how much VDimm though.

But Geil page says up tp 2.3 VDimm. Might those be Mircons ? :D

Specs: PC2-6400 DDR2-800mhz @ 4-4-4-12.

Voltage: 2.4v
